DMR Association Welcomes Omsk Manufacturing Association named after A.S. Popov and Elcomplus as New Members

The DMR Association warmly welcomes Omsk Manufacturing Association named after A.S. Popov and Elcomplus to the growing DMR community. Their involvement with the Association will strengthen our understanding of the European and Eastern European markets, as well as improve the awareness and education of the DMR standard in these regions. Membership to the organisation is growing from strength to strength and this past year has been extraordinary with the increase in number of manufacturers developing DMR equipment said Mario Micheli (of SELEX Elsag, Italy), Chair of the DMR Association.

This is our first-time participation in the Expo to find new suppliers and acquire new technology. I've discussed with a number of potential suppliers for business cooperation. Antarctic expedition to be carried out in 2010

Omsk Production Association Popov Radio Manufacturing Plant will develop special technological solutions for Antarctic expedition "Elysium Shakleton's Antarctic Visual Epic" planned in 2010.


The intention is to research current condition of Antarctic and to document diversity of biomass of glacier, ground and marine environments in the late of new millennium's first decade. These researches will be significant in learning of Earth's climate changes. A special book and a documentary are planned to be produced upon results of the expedition.

Russia offers architecture for safe communication systems interaction

The protection of national communications and management infrastructure remains a priority issue for all sovereign countries without exception. This is so because a modern state can preserve its sovereignty only by upholding its right to own (national) decisions in the field of communications and management.

The Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) and NATO agreed on the need to unify the communications systems, which are applied in the member-countries of the North Atlantic Alliance and the CSTO.

First of all, it is necessary to accord the common parameters of the exchange protocols and the interface of the communication systems in various CSTO and NATO states. The working group on development and production of communication systems under the Russian-Italian joint committee for cooperation in the military-technical sphere and the defence industry devoted its meeting to solving these issues. The working group is meeting in Rome on February 2-7.

For the first time ever the Omsk Manufacturing Association named after A.S. Popov has won the annual award of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide. The enterprise is awarded in Success Story nomination for the development of special digital data processing and transfer system for extreme climates, which was successfully tested within Elysium Shackleton's Antarctic Visual Epic and was commended at the largest exhibition of electronic equipment in South-East Asia.
